PARACHEER DIVISIONS OPENED AT 2017 WORLD CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIPS

This year, 2017, saw the opening of the first ParaCheer divisions at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships. The international competition was held at ESPN Wide World of Sport in Orlando, Florida from 26th to 28th April 2017.

This year there were three ParaCheer divisions and the competing teams represented 5 countries. The results were:

ParaCheer Unified Advanced division Gold: Team England Silver: Team Costa Rica

ParaCheer Unified Pom division Gold: Team Wales Silver: Team England

ParaCheer Unified Hip Hop division Gold: Team Kazakhstan

We want to extend huge Congratulations to all of the teams, for taking a risk and entering a new division in is first year. We think all of the performances were amazing, every country put out very high quality routines, and we hope that the 2018 World Championships will see more countries represented in the ParaCheer divisions.
